Ottawa Art Gallery held their fall opening reception on October 6, 2016.
It was the last event to be held before the construction of the new begins next year.

I hadn’t been to a night market in Ottawa in quite some time.
It is good for the city to have this kind of event.
This year Ottawa Asian Fest‘s night market took place at Chinatown in Somerset St West area where the Chinatown Royal Arch Gate resides.
The event runs until this Sunday.

On October 5, 2016, Studio Sixty Six held their vernissage/opening reception for Erupt.
It is a group show of new works from recent graduates of the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa.
They are Joyce Crago, Judy Morris Dupont, Geneviève Labbé, Katy Lopez

On March 24, 2016, the news came out that former CBC personality Jian Ghomeshi was found not guilty of sexual misconduct to his victims.
It caused a big uproar on how bad the criminal system didn’t help the victims.
With that a group of people called Looking Out Ottawa decided to do a last-minute rally, protest and march at the Ottawa courthouse.
People of all walks of life came out on Good Friday in solidarity to show their support.
Survivors told their stories of what had happened to them which was powerful and moving.
